Henrico Doctors’ to Hold Grand Opening for Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute
Expansion of Cancer Treatment Services in Central Virginia

Richmond, Va. (Feb. 5, 2018) — HCA Virginia’s Henrico Doctors’ Hospital will hold a ribbon cutting ceremony to celebrate the opening of its new state-of-the-art medical office building and cancer institute, the Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute at Henrico Doctors’ Hospital.

The event will take place Feb. 13 at 5:00 p.m. at the new Sarah Cannon Cancer Institute, 7607 Forest Ave., Richmond, 23229, located across from Henrico Doctors’ Hospital’s emergency department and main campus, 1602 Skipwith Road.

The 98,500 square foot facility consists of a four-story medical office building, designed to provide a full range of coordinated cancer care services ranging from screening, diagnosis, clinical treatment and support services for patients and residents in Central Virginia. The destination cancer center also features the latest innovative technologies, a financial investment totaling over $15-million dollars, including the East Coast’s first and only TrueBeam® linear accelerator with HyperArcTM high-definition radiotherapy (HDRT), delivering a new era of precision, reduced side effects and tumor control for patients.

HCA recently partnered with Sarah Cannon, the Cancer Institute of HCA, to expand its comprehensive cancer treatment services in Central Virginia. Through the collaboration, patients throughout the Richmond region will have greater access to cutting-edge therapies and world-class cancer care programs, including expanded nurse navigation programs, close to home.
