COLONIAL HEIGHTS CHAMBER TO HOST INAUGURAL WOMEN’S EXPO
April 13, 2018 - COLONIAL HEIGHTS, VA - The Colonial Heights Chamber of Commerce will host the Inaugural Women’s Expo on Friday, April 27 from 1 – 4 p.m. at Destination Church. The event, themed “Brains, Beauty and Business” will offer attendees the opportunity to network with one another while discussing various subjects including health, fashion and business development.
A social reception will take place immediately following the program and will feature food, prize giveaways and the opportunity to engage with speakers and sponsor businesses.
The Inaugural Women’s Expo is highlighted by Claire Herring who will serve as the keynote speaker.  Her presentation entitled Your Brain at Work – Raising Your Game in 2018, is a fast-paced interactive session that will have attendees re-thinking how to organize their day and evaluate their work performance and career. Herring is a well-known writer and international speaker on all things related to leveraging science to optimize employee performance.  She is the head of Blue Ocean Brain, a program that presents a micro-learning strategy and brings 21st century learning to companies in more than 30 countries. 
Other featured topics includes a business attire session, with a fun-filled wacky earring contest, health and welfare demonstrating yoga and breathing exercises and a social media session offering best practices for all types of businesses. 
Destination Church is located in the Crossings Shopping Center, 5280 Oaklawn Blvd., Hopewell, Virginia near Fort Lee. Doors will open at 12:30 p.m. and reception will begin at 4 p.m.
Early bird ticket specials are $40 for members and $45 for non-members are available now through April 24.  The price increases to $50 for members and $55 for non-members after the early bird deadline.  While tickets will be available at the door on the day of the event, space is limited so interested attendees are encouraged to purchase in advance.
