Event Description:
Tony Jackson Saturday, November 7, 2026 Jimmy Dean Theater 7:30pm Tony Jackson has lived several lives before arriving at the one he was always meant for. A Marine veteran, former banking professional, and now one of traditional country music’s most compelling modern voices, Jackson brings authenticity and lived experience to every song he sings. Born in Portsmouth and raised in a military family, Jackson spent much of his childhood overseas listening to Armed Forces radio, where genres blended freely and storytelling mattered most. Country music ultimately became his anchor, especially during years spent away from home. At age 10, while living in Spain, Jackson unknowingly met his future hero, Randy Travis, during a military-base concert visit, a full-circle moment that would later culminate in Travis joining him on the duet “Do You Remember Country Music.” Before fully pursuing music, Jackson served in the Marines and later built a successful career with Bank of America. Leaving that stability behind to chase music was a leap of faith, but one that has paid off. His breakthrough came with a viral rendition of George Jones’ “The Grand Tour,” earning millions of views and introducing audiences to his unmistakable baritone voice. Today, Jackson is a regular performer on the Grand Ole Opry and has amassed more than 100 million social media video views. His album I've Got Songs to Sing highlights both his reverence for country tradition and his growth as an artist, featuring collaborations with Rhonda Vincent and Randy Travis, along with songs from acclaimed Nashville writers including Jamey Johnson and Erin Enderlin. With a voice that recalls country music’s golden era while remaining distinctly his own, Tony Jackson continues to connect deeply with audiences through songs about faith, resilience, family, and home.
